A 46-year-old man was shot and killed steps away from his Bronx apartment building early Saturday morning and his killer remains on the lam, cops said.
Officers responding to a 911 call at around 12:30 a.m. found victim Amaury Carrion with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso on Rev. James A. Polite Avenue near E 163rd St. in East Tremont.
Medics rushed Carrion to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln , where he was later pronounced dead.
Six prayer candles burned beside bouquets of yellow and white flowers outside of Carrion’s apartment building Saturday morning.
No arrests have been made. The investigation remained underway as of Saturday afternoon.
