At Thursday’s Hamblen County Commission meeting, the county’s Finance Department, consisting of Finance Director Amanda Hale, Dennis Cox and Sheri Canter, were recognized for 10 years of service.

“These folks are an absolute delight,” Commission Chairman Tommy Haun said. “They work in the Mayor’s office and I have to get clarification (at times). Sheri lets me in, Dennis is always so friendly, Amanda speaks. What a great trio. Thank you all for your service.”

County Mayor Chris Cutshaw also praised the three during his remarks.

“They are absolutely wonderful,” Cutshaw said. “The environment we have in there, the heart that’s given, starting with Amanda, she is my boss. She really has our back in financing and in watching our books.”
