Conor Maynard has announced his engagement in a heartfelt Instagram post, just months after being embroiled in a paternity dispute with Charlotte Chilton, a star from The Traitors. The 32-year-old singer shared the joyous news on social media, showcasing his partner's stunning engagement ring while he affectionately kissed her cheek.

In his post, he expressed his excitement, stating, "Happy Birthday to my FIANCÉE!!! I’m ready to take on forever with you." His brother, Jack Maynard, and fellow artist Willy William were among those congratulating him, with Jack exclaiming, "Woohoo!! Congratulations," and Willy adding, "Congrats bro, god bless U and your fiancé."

This announcement comes on the heels of a tumultuous period for Maynard, who faced allegations from Chilton claiming he was the father of her child. Following the birth of her daughter, Penelope, last year, Chilton requested that Maynard undergo a DNA test to confirm paternity. The results, however, left her "shell shocked," as they confirmed that Maynard is not the father.

In March, Maynard publicly addressed the situation, stating, "As with the last test, this test has confirmed again that I am not Penelope's father. As Charlotte requested, Penelope's, Charlotte's and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte. The results are therefore conclusive. This has been difficult for me and my family, and I'm so grateful for everyone's support. I'm glad we can now finally draw a line under this. I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives. Conor."

The engagement marks a new chapter for Maynard, who is now looking forward to his future with his fiancé.
