Firefighters in Raynham, joined by mutual aid partners from three communities on Friday night, saved two pet dogs, even as they raced to respond to other calls across town.
Firefighters, who were already busy responding to three simultaneous medical calls, were dispatched to a lot at 1549 Broadway shortly before 10:30 p.m. for a report of a structure fire with three people trapped inside, Raynham Chief Brian LaCivita said in a statement.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a mobile home engulfed in flames. They quickly figured out that the home’s occupants weren’t there.
But two pet dogs were. And they were rescued from a rear bedroom, LaCivita said.
