Some unique history will be made in Bloomington Saturday as unbeaten Illinois and Indiana square off in their Big Ten openers.

Both the Illini and Hoosiers have gotten the season off to a strong start with 3-0 records in non-conference play, but now they both face one of their toughest games of the season, as Illinois faces its lone currently scheduled road game against a ranked opponent and as Indiana faces a top-10 opponent on their home field.

A win in the game would help bolster either team’s hopes for a berth in the College Football Playoff later this season, while also providing a key opportunity to make a big statement in a nationally televised game.
