Esteban Ocon has been disqualified from the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix qualifying session after his Haas Formula One car failed post-qualifying rear wing inspections.

After initially qualifying in 18th, the Frenchman's Haas VF-25 failed the rear wing main-plane tip deflection test which led to the disqualification. The American outfit will now have to request permission from the stewards for Ocon to race tomorrow.

"The Stewards heard from the team representative of Car 31 and the Haas Head of Car Engineering, plus the FIA Technical Delegate and FIA Deputy Technical Delegate," the official statement from the FIA stewards confirmed. "The driver (Esteban Ocon) was excused from the hearing.
