GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — Three people were injured Saturday after an explosion at a residence in the 400 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Grand Prairie Fire Department.

Officials said the individuals suffered burn injuries and were transported to Parkland Hospital. Their conditions have not yet been released.

Grand Prairie FD has several units responding to the scene, including a Hazmat team. The Hazmat response was requested as a precaution in case hazardous materials were involved, the department said.

The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
