Letter to the editor: Right-wing outrage against political violence is highly selective

Last week, the nation was convulsed by another act of political violence, this time against a right-wing figure. While public figures across the spectrum denounced the act, it seems that right-wing outrage against political violence is highly selective. In response to the Kirk murder, Gov. Gianforte said that political violence has no place in America. If that’s true, why were the Jan. 6 rioters pardoned? Apparently, that was acceptable because Donald Trump and his co-conspirators instigated it.
