AIKEN, Sc (WJBF) - The Seed STEM Festival happening Saturday at the Ruth Patrick Science and Education Center.

This is the 40th year of the Seed STEM Festival featuring 75 interactive exhibits.

The yearly event is free and family friendly.

It offers exhibits from learning about honeybees, making paper, learning more about electricity and geology.

Kids also learned about physics through trains.

“Kids, and especially younger kids tend to think in two dimensions, I’m trying to get them to think in 3 dimensions and learn that a train wheel is a section of a cone and that conical shape is actually what allows the train wheel, train axel, whatever you want to call it to be self regulating and maintain that balance on the rails,” said Samuel Ellis, Museum Coordinator at the City of Aiken Vis
