There are plenty of U.S. national parks worth visiting in the fall . Yosemite National Park is one of these. Every year, thousands of hikers and photographers plan a trip to this protected area between September and December to take advantage of the stunning foliage typical of Yosemite.

Unfortunately, however, there will be fewer opportunities for breathtaking shots and rewarding hikes this year. Yosemite National Park recently announced the closure of several trails on its official website . The closures are due to sustained damage requiring extensive repair. While detours are available for some trails, this is not the case for all trails.
