Mission Viejo, ranked No. 1 in Orange County this week, lost to McCallie, 25-14, on Friday in Chatanooga, Tenn.

It was the first loss for Mission Viejo (4-1).

McCallie (4-1) has been a Tennessee state champion the past two seasons.

Mission Viejo quarterback Luke Fahey passed for 136 yards and rushed for a team-high 67 yards. Receiver Luke Karby had four receptions for 44 yards.

McCallie, which compiled 203 rushing yards, had a 10-0 lead at halftime.

Mission Viejo plays at Chaparral in Temecula next week, Friday, Sept. 26.

San Juan Hills 38, Mira Costa 28: Stallions senior quarterback Timmy Herr threw three touchdown passes and ran for two touchdowns.
