As part of an Urban Road Safety Program, the City of Stirling will install 63 new traffic-calming devices across the Joondanna and South Tuart Hill precinct, aimed at reducing crashes and slowing traffic in the area.

41 intersections are set to receive raised safety platforms, while 22 asphalt speed cushions are set to be installed along local roads.

The works will target several intersections and roads located within the area bound by Royal Street to the north, Green Street to the south, Main Street to the west and Wanneroo Road to the east.

The city said the speed reduction efforts are being implemented in response to a higher-than-average vehicle crash history in the precinct.
