Hard times, as the saying goes, create strong men.

And amid the trials and tribulations of 2025, Dylan Clark showed what he is really made of.

In the more than half a decade since he joined the Kootingal-Moonbi Roosters, the 26-year-old had largely been content to "turn up and play footy".

But this year, as one of the older members of the club's first grade squad, more was asked of Clark. And he responded accordingly.

"This year I've been thrown a bit more responsibility, so I'm proud of my efforts as well as Dean's," he said.

The work Clark put in, first as vice captain before he was promoted to co-captain alongside Dean Evans , did not go unnoticed.

At the Roosters' presentation night on Saturday, he was the standout among the award-winners with three.
