Trine University junior quarterback RJ West II threw four touchdowns passes, three caught by junior running back Jermaine Williams, in a 35-27 win for the Thunder over Franklin on Saturday.

West also threw for 435 yards, just four yards shy of matching the Thunder's all-time single-game record of 439 set by Alex Price on Sept. 16, 2021. Williams became just the fifth player in program history with at least three receiving touchdowns and finished with six catches for 179 yards.

After a scoreless first quarter, Franklin jumped out to a 14-0 lead late in the second off back-to-back fumbles by the Thunder. West connected with Williams for their first score of the afternoon on a 46-yard pass to make it 14-7 at halftime.
