BANGOR -- The Husson University Eagles hosted the WPI Engineers in their home opener on Saturday afternoon.

On the very first play of the game, Eagles quarterback Max Clark swings a short pass out to wide receiver Mari Montgomery who was immediately hit with force by Engineers defensive back Ryan Hannigan, giving WPI a huge burst of momentum right out of the gate.

On the Engineers first drive of the day, which started inside the Eagles 40-yard line, they too were shut down on third down when Eagles defensive back Brayden Trombly broke through the offensive line and made the tackle in the backfield, forcing WPI to settle for a field goal.
