West Virginia’s first Big 12 Conference contest under head coach Rich Rodriguez comes in the form of a matchup against Kansas at recently-renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

Both teams enter with 2-1 records and have completed non-conference play.

The Jayhawks have the luxury of extra preparation as they enter off a bye week after playing three consecutive weeks and opening the season one week earlier than the Mountaineers.

WVU has won 11 of 13 meetings with KU, including four of five away from home. Today, however, the Mountaineers enter nearly a two touchdown underdog.

This is the first meeting between Rodriguez and Jayhawks’ head coach Lance Leipold.
