The Hawaii women’s volleyball team not only suffered another loss on the road in Stanford, Calif., today, but could be without another of its best outside hitters for a while.
UCLA handed the Rainbow Wahine its second straight defeat in three sets, 25-12, 27-25, 25-15 at Maples Pavilion.
The news was even worse for Hawaii (4-6), which saw junior outside hitter Stella Adeyemi go down with a left leg injury seven points into the match.
Adeyemi, who was UH’s second returning leading hitter this season, landed on the foot of a UCLA player and had to eventually be carried off the court by two assistant coaches.
UH is already without outside hitter Tali Hakas, who announced last week she would sit out the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.
