White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Saturday that she is "100 percent confident" that a deal has been reached between the United States and China would guarantee US control over TikTok 's key algorithm.

Leavitt told Fox News ' "Saturday in America" that the pending agreement between would also guarantee a majority of the board seats overseeing U.S. operations, six out of seven, would go to Americans.

"They were able to accomplish a deal that puts America first and keeps TikTok open for all of the young Americans and all of the small businesses who have benefited greatly from selling their products and really creating a name for themselves on this highly popular app," Leavitt said, crediting Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent , Ambassador Jamieson Greer, and Vice Presi
