NORMAN — R Mason Thomas called game.

The Sooners ’ defensive end, who missed the first half due to a targeting call in last week’s win over Temple, was let loose on fourth-and-29, bullrushing a double team and sacking Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold in the end zone for a safety.

In what was a sloppy slugfest, OU football recorded a program-record 10 sacks to defeat the Tigers 24-17 Saturday at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Thomas, the Sooners ’ savior, finished with two sacks, two tackles for loss and four total tackles.
