EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — After two heartbreaking overtime losses, the UConn football team is back in the win column.

The Huskies edged out the Cardinals 31-25 on Saturday afternoon at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Renschler Field.

UConn quarterback and seventh-year senior Joe Fagnano threw for 171 yards and a touchdown and no interceptions. Most of his completions went to senior wide receiver Skyler Bell, who caught 14 passes for 103 yards and a score.

While the passing game was effective, it was junior running back Cam Edwards who stole the show for the Huskies.

Edwards ran for 194 yards on 24 carries and reached the end zone twice. His 68-yard yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter put UConn up two scores, which proved to be enough despite a late Ball State touchdown and two-poin
