BELGRADE, Neb. (KSNB) - Belgrade is a town of around 100 people, yet the streets were lined with parked cars. Everyone was trying to get inside the Corn Krib to honor and celebrate the life of a long-time bartender.

Kennedi DeMuth was very close to the Cornwells, the owners of The Corn Krib, and even closer with Kyle Cornwell. According to Kyle, the two of them grew up in Fullerton, always causing trouble with their friends, even gaining the nickname, “The Brat Pack.”

“It was an amazing upbringing with our friend group, and with her,” Kyle said.

DeMuth worked at the Corn Krib even before the doors opened last August. DeMuth was inside painting and helping upgrade the kitchen.

“She was a beautiful, bright light,” Cyndie Cornwell said. “And she will always be here in our town.”
