CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A homeowner is being treated for smoke inhalation and lost their cat after their home caught fire on Saturday afternoon, according to Dash 10 Media.

Clarksville Fire Rescue crews responded to a mobile home fire in the 400 block of E Street just before 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Fire crews were able to quickly contain the blaze. Dash 10 reports crews had extinguished the fire by 4:53 p.m.

The homeowner was inside at the time of the fire. They were able to make it out of the home but was taken to Tennova Hospital for smoke inhalation, Dash 10 reported.

The homeowner’s cat was killed in the fire.

Dash 10 said neighbors reported seeing the fire from the outside and called 911.
