ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A person was attacked on a Maryland Heights trail Saturday morning, and police are asking for help identifying the suspect.

Police say the assault happened just before 9 a.m. on the Fee Fee Greenway Trail near the access point on Wesford Drive. Police say a Maryland Heights resident was attacked by a person while walking on the trail.

Police described the man as white, in his late 20s to early 30s and around 5′8″. Police say the man was wearing khaki shorts, a t-shirt and a ball cap.

Police ask anyone who lives in the area who may have captured anything on security video or anyone on the trail at the time who saw a person matching their description to call them at 314-298-8700 or submit a tip on their website .
