MATHER, Calif. —
The California Capitol Air Show hosted its Girls in Aviation Day Expo, featuring a panel discussion, Q-and-A with trailblazing women in STEM, hands-on STEM activities, and exhibits from more than a dozen aviation organizations.
Organizers said there is still a very small amount of women in aviation careers and hope this event can inspire young girls to follow their dreams.
"We want these girls to sit at tables with role models, to help light the way to wherever you wanna go," organizers said.
More than 500 girls ages eight to eighteen were in attendance.
