Bruno Fernandes impressed for Manchester United in their important 2-1 win against Chelsea , but Ruben Amorim believes his captain can still "perform better."

In the build-up to Chelsea's visit, Amorim defended his use of Fernandes in the deeper midfield role.

There has been a debate about where Fernandes should play after a slow start, but the Portugal international delivered an excellent performance against Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Fernandes notched his 100th goal for United on his 200th league appearance. The 31-year-old sparkled in a must-win game and received praise from Amorim when he spoke at his post-match press conference.
