DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) -- The South Alabama Pride Festival kicked off its third annual festivities Saturday, inviting LGBTQ+ Wiregrass residents and their allies in a show of unity.
Sponsored by Prism Counseling and Community Services, pride featured activities for the whole family, live entertainment, music, and businesses/vendors from across the community during its annual gathering at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center.
"Everybody is just like amped and happy," says Jeannie Meile, pride committee member. "They're helping each other out. The community is just like all one. It's fantastic, just to feel the energy."
Pride also seeks to connect community members with available services, businesses, and community outreach initiatives.
