MISSOULA — Before cross country runners across Montana descend on Zootown for the state championship Oct. 25, they get one shot at feeling out the terrain at the Mountain West Classic.
Held on, through and around the University of Montana golf course, the classic is one of the marquee races on the high-school cross country calendar each fall. Two new runners took home the top podium spots Saturday morning, as Miles Halvorsen (Bozeman) and Addison Kegel (Billings Central) emerged victorious.
