The 5½-foot-tall inflatable is adorned with handcuffs, a Girl Scouts sash and a fake head of hair meant to mimic the hair of President Donald Trump. And Guibord, a former police officer and firefighter, typically dons the military jacket of her World War II veteran father for the endeavor.
Guibord, 67, of West Bloomfield, became a familiar face in September 2025 when the Detroit Free Press set out to visit at least one protest a day for a week in metro Detroit.
While mass protests with hundreds to thousands have gathered to denounce the president since he retook office, more regular protests with anti-Trump sentiments are also taking place almost daily in metro Detroit. Smaller groups of fiv
