CLEVELAND (WJW) -- An investigation is ongoing following a fire that broke out just after midnight Sunday that led to the deaths of two people, the Cleveland Division of Fire said in a statement.
Fire crews were called to a residence on East 52nd Street near Fleet Avenue for reports a fire had broken out. A man and a woman were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with what firefighters described as critical injuries, but they both later passed away.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victims Monday as William Swincicki, 57, and Michellee Terwilliger, 55.
