Jackson Wolf won his last start of the season, turning in five solid innings in Triple-A El Paso’s 5-3 win at Sugar Land on Saturday.
Wolf (7-3, 5.47 ERA) struck out three and allowed two runs on five hits and a walk in the win.
Left-hander Wes Benjamin (6.42 ERA) struck out a batter in a scoreless inning, as did right-hander Alek Jacob (5.27 ERA), who earned his second save in the outing.
Designated hitter Luis Campusano (1.036 OPS) went 1-for-2 before exiting the game. He is hitting .336, which is tied with Round Rock’s Cody Freeman for tops in the Pacific Coast league heading into the last day of the season.
Second baseman Nate Mondou (.823 OPS) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and right fielder Yonathan Perlaza (.906 OPS) went 1-for-4 with an RBI, a walk and two runs scored.
