The King has made a special visit to meet the world's oldest person, who delighted him with her recollections of how "all the girls were in love with you and wanted to marry you".
Charles travelled to see 116 year old Ethel Caterham at her care home in Lightwater, Surrey, on Thursday, shortly after formally saying goodbye to US President Donald Trump at Windsor.
Mrs Caterham became the world's oldest living person in April following the death of Brazilian nun Sister Inah Canabarro Lucas at 116.
She opted to mark her most recent birthday in August quietly with only her family – but it emerged at the time that she would have made an exception for the King.
The monarch duly accepted just a few weeks later by journeying to meet her in person, reports MyLondon .
