Will the Giants get elite left tackle Andrew Thomas back for Sunday night’s home opener against the Chiefs, as both teams try to avoid starting 0-3?

Well, that isn’t officially clear. But Thomas does intend to play, according to NFL Network, which noted that the Giants “will be cautious, and Thomas will work out pregame to be sure. But the plan is to go.”

Thomas is listed as questionable for this game. He was a limited participant in practice all three days this past week. On Friday, coach Brian Daboll said Thomas would be a game-time decision.

Thomas hasn’t played since Week 6 last season, when he sustained a Lisfranc foot injury that required season-ending surgery.

The Giants’ up-and-down offensive line needs to get him back on the field as soon as possible.
