DEKALB, Ill. (WTVO) — Northern Illinois University hosted its 16th Annual STEM Festival, showcasing a wide array of exhibits open to the community.
The festival provided students and visitors with hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, highlighting the practical applications of these fields.
"I attended last year as a student just to see what it was all about, because I saw the advertisements like, I love STEM, especially as an engineering student," said Ally Coker, aerodynamics lead for Huskie Motorsports.
Coker expressed her enthusiasm for the festival, having attended it previously as a student.
Coker is part of the Huskie Motorsports' Formula SAE club, which hit the track for the first time in seven years this past August.
