Candidates for the local municipal Oct. 7 election made their pitch for office during the annual Tanana Valley League of Women Voters forum on Friday.

Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly candidates field questions that dealt with most critical issues facing the borough, potential service cuts and service priorities, how much they would provide for local education, the planned yet controversial replacement animal shelter project and efforts to protect voting access.
