POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Butler County on Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened on September 20, at 9:20 p.m., along Missouri Highway T, roughly four miles south of Wappapello.

State police said a 39-year-old man from Puxico was driving a 2014 Dodge Avenger going east when he didn't stop at a stop sign and was hit by a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 76-year-old woman from Poplar Bluff who was going south.

Both vehicles were reported totaled and both the drivers were sent to area hospitals with serious injuries.

State police said the 39-year-old man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
