Jeanne Olson arrived in Alaska in 1977 with the Air Force, where she worked as an aircraft maintenance specialist at Elmendorf Air Force Base. She went on to earn a biology degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a veterinary doctorate from Colorado State. For nearly four decades, she has provided holistic care through Raven Veterinary Service, while co-founding the International Veterinary Sled Dog Association and Alaska Rural Veterinary Outreach. Her community service includes two decades of low-cost spay/neuter work, frequent rural and international veterinary missions, and regular testimony before borough assemblies and commissions.
