J.T. McComas-Roe is a Fairbanks plumber and small business owner who lives on the west side of Fairbanks with his wife and two dogs. A longtime believer in civic service, he has volunteered as a firefighter and been active with the Kiwanis Club, while also serving on the borough’s Platting Board, Planning Commission, and the FAST Planning Technical Committee, as well as the governor’s Roads and Highways Advisory Board.

He is now running for Seat C on the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly, bringing what he describes as a blue-collar perspective, life experience and common sense to the job.
