A ready-to-eat seafood product from Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand is being recalled due to a potential contamination risk.

Annasea Foods Group, the company that supplied the product, recalled more than 3,000 pounds of the Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke, according to a notice published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Sept. 20.

The product was recalled due to potential contamination with listeria and was sold in the deli section across more than 30 states nationwide.

Listeria monocytogenes is a type of disease-causing bacteria that can cause serious illness if ingested, especially for certain vulnerable groups of people like the elderly and those who are immunocompromised.
