ENGLEWOOD, Fla. (WWSB) - Hundreds of supporters gathered in Englewood Friday night to celebrate the life of Charlie Kirk.

“People really felt connected to him,” event organizer Angela Guelfi said. “I wanted our whole town to come together to have a space where they could honor Charlie Kirk,” she added.

Guelfi told ABC7 she saw the assassination of Charlie Kirk shake more than just our nation.

“It was felt all over the world, with France having a million-person march that they had, and all across the country. We are starting our own turning point chapter here at Lemon Bay, so it’s a big deal,” Guelfi explained.

“His message is going to live on forever”, Englewood resident Christopher Roper said.

Having met Kirk, Roper says he wants to keep his legacy alive.
