In 1994, a small support group of men and women with Parkinson’s disease met with a speech pathologist at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital.

The result of this meeting was Tremble Clefs Arizona, a choir group comprised of people with Parkinson’s, as well as their families and care partners. For the past 31 years, the group has been providing music therapy to member groups in Sun City, Scottsdale, Mesa and Sun Lake, helping people whose normal functions such as speech and posture are declining due to Parkinson’s. The group currently has over 70 members.

On Nov. 15, TCAZ will host an anniversary fundraising concert at the Jewish Community Center in Scottsdale, to celebrate them being the longest serving and largest Parkinson’s choir in the United States, according to a press release. The event
