COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Last week, former Georgia Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan announced that he will run for governor -- as a Democrat.

Duncan has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump on a state and national platform. A couple of days after announcing his bid for governor, Duncan made a stop at the WRBL studio in Columbus to talk about it.

He sat down with our Chuck Williams for this week's Sunday Conversation.

He was asked if he had lost his mind, and he was quick to respond.

"If I lost my mind, I found my heart," he said.

The interview was not limited to politics. Duncan, a former professional baseball player, played a behind-the-scenes role in helping Columbus secure the Atlanta Braves' Double-A team last year. He talks publicly about that for the first time.
