President Trump said Sunday it was a "tough day" as he and numerous other White House officials traveled to Arizona for a memorial for Charlie Kirk.
"I’m just going to give them my love. There’s nothing much you can say," Trump told reporters as he left the White House when asked for his message to Kirk's family. "He’s had a tremendous influence. For a young man, he did a great job. A tremendous job," Trump added. "He had a hold on youth because they loved him. They respected him. And if you go back 10 years, those colleges were dangerous places for conservatives. And now they’re hot. They’re very hot. Just like this country is hot."
