A new Little Library has been installed beside the Bower Community Playground in Red Deer in memory of Myron Chilibeck, a dedicated volunteer in the community.
The library is intended to give parents and grandparents a place to read with children while taking a break at the playground. Its colourful design shows animals reading books, sparking kids’ imaginations and inviting families to create their own stories.
Artwork and decoration were done by local residents Maxine Whitehead and Adele Carruthers, while the structure itself was built by Jake Kilcollins.
The Little Library is open to all residents, who are encouraged to take and leave books.
The Bower Place Community Association played a major role in the construction; you can find out more about them at their website.
