GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -A group of Gator student-athletes spent their morning making an impact on the lives of young fighters.
Climb for Cancer, a non-profit organization supporting children battling cancer, hosted its annual sports camp in Gainesville.
“We put a smile on the face of one child, we’ve done our job,” said Ron Farb, co-founder of Climb for Cancer.
The foundation teamed up with the University of Florida to create a fun experience for children who are either battling or have overcome cancer.
Since 2006, more than 200 Gator athletes have led kids in football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, cheer, and dance drills.
