GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - A Gadsden County football student-athlete was approved to play at the school but the team is still banned from playoffs after their final appeal to the FHSAA Sunday.

This comes after the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) imposed several sanctions regarding recruitment, student-athlete registration and summer programs in late July .

Seven of the student athletes were granted eligibility at any other FHSAA school but Gadsden County back in August, but the one remained who could not play at Gadsden County.

The Board of Directors first heard from Superintendent Elijah Key as he sought eligibility for the student athlete in Gadsden County who was looking to play for the Jags this season.
