A human rights lawyer has criticised the arrest in Dubai of two Edinburgh people linked to the criminal underworld as a "public relations exercise".

Edinburgh gangster , Ross McGill, another man said to be from Edinbrugh and Glaswegians Steven Lyons, Stephen Jamieson and Steven Larwood, were taken into custody by police in Dubai last week.

The nature of the judicial process in Dubai means it has not been possible to establish exactly what is happening, although it is thought they will all face extradition back to Scotland, reports The Scottish Daily Express.
