SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) responded to reports of a house fire in the Allendale neighborhood on Sunday at 8:21 a.m.

Firefighters reportedly discovered smoke and flames coming from the front of a one-story house in the 1800 block of Anna Street. 16 firefighters were able to get the fire under control shortly after arriving. Damage to the house was limited to the front door and porch, with no injuries reported.

Investigations revealed that one of two individuals residing in the house, who did not have authorization to be there, allegedly ignited the fire. Both individuals - 32-year-old Eric Pitts and 37-year-old Eboni Pitts - were arrested.
