LIHUʻE (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Department of Water will hold a public meeting Monday evening on the Kuhio Highway Hardy-Oxford Waterline Project in Kauai, Lihuʻe.

Residents are encouraged to attend Mondays meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the DOW Board Room.

The project will replace aging waterlines to meet current standards, including fire flow requirements, affecting Kuhio Highway from Hardy to Oxford and Poinciana Street from Kuhio to Jerves.

Work will begin in two phases starting in Oct. and Dec., with potential water service interruptions, lane closures, and typical construction noise, dust, and vibration expected.
