The Kansas City Chiefs have started 0-2 for just the second time in the Andy Reid era. They will look to avoid falling to 0-3 during their "Sunday Night Football" date with the New York Giants.
Like the Chiefs, the Giants also started the season with a 0-2 record. New York is fresh off a last-second overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys, during which Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey made a game-tying 64-yard field goal at the end of regulation before making a game-winning 46-yard field goal at the end of overtime.
Suffice to say both the Chiefs and Giants are desperate for a win. Kansas City needs one to ensure it doesn't fall too far behind in the playoff race, while Brian Daboll will need to lead New York to one to avoid his seat growing even hotter than it already is.
The Chiefs are favored to beat the Giants, but savvy NFL bettors won't just be focused on the results of the game. They will also be searching for quality prop bets and anytime touchdown scorers to back in what could be an intense Sunday night battle.
What are the best bets for "Sunday Night Football" in Week 3? Here are the best props and anytime TD bets to consider as the Chiefs and Giants each battle for their first wins on "SNF."
Giants vs Chiefs best bets
All odds are via BetMGM as of Sunday.
Tyquan Thornton OVER 28.5 receiving yards (-115)
The Chiefs are set to once again be without Rashee Rice (suspension) and Xavier Worthy (shoulder) for their Week 3 game. That will open opportunities for Hollywood Brown and Thornton to once again operate as Kansas City's top receivers.
While Brown may be more likely to see a high volume of targets, Thornton is a decent bet to go over his receiving total. The speedster is averaging a league-best 25 yards per reception and has seen nine targets over the first two weeks of the season.
Add in the 25-year-old's improving chemistry with Patrick Mahomes and the Giants' 419 yards surrendered to wide receivers on the season (third-most in the NFL).
Kareem Hunt OVER 30.5 rushing yards (-110)
Mahomes has been the Chiefs' leading rusher through two weeks, totaling 123 yards while Kansas City's running backs have combined for 96 as a unit. The Chiefs can't let that continue and should be motivated to run better against a Giants team that has surrendered 245 rushing yards to running backs this season (sixth-most in the NFL).
Hunt (3.6 yards per carry) has looked slightly more explosive than Isiah Pacheco (3.1 ypc) through two weeks. The veteran's over/under rushing total is 11 yards lower than Pacheco's despite the two of them seeing a relatively even carry split to open the season (15 for Pacheco, 13 for Hunt). That makes Hunt the safer bet of the two to exceed his total against a Giants defense that just allowed Javonte Williams to run for 97 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
Malik Nabers UNDER 6.5 receptions (-105)
Nabers is averaging 12.5 targets per game thus far in 2025, so there's little doubt he will be a focal point of the Giants' offense on "SNF." The only question is whether he will be able to consistently make catches in a matchup against a Chiefs secondary that just limited A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to a combined nine catches and 80 yards on 14 targets.
It could be especially difficult for Nabers to get going if Trent McDuffie travels with him. McDuffie has only allowed six receptions on 10 targets through two weeks, so Nabers may have a game more akin to his five-catch, 71-yard season debut against the Washington Commanders than his nine-catch, 167-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Cowboys.
Travis Kelce anytime TD (+140)
Is this a bit of a boring pick? You bet, but Kelce remains one of Mahomes' favorite red-zone targets. The veteran quarterback has attempted just six passes inside the 20-yard line this season, and Kelce has been targeted on two of those six (33.3% target share).
That ratio may not continue, but neither will Kelce's lacking success rate. He has failed to catch both targets and had a particularly bad drop on a potential touchdown-turned-interception against the Eagles. He should be motivated to right that wrong against a Giants team that has allowed 13 receptions to tight ends, tied for sixth-most in the league entering Week 3.
