LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A man has died after being struck by a vehicle on I-35 earlier this morning.

The fatal accident happened at around 5:45 a.m. on the 4500 block of I-35 on the southbound lanes.

There, Laredo police found 33-year-old Sebastian Guerrero, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Early investigation shows a blue Toyota driving on the southbound lanes. Police say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.

According to police, there were no signs of intoxication in the driver.

Reports say the highway was extremely dark and not well-lit.

This is an ongoing investigation by the LPD crash team.
